# Overview ![](/files/hZvYQwFg4X6gt9syOpwd) T- Rental (Temporary Rental) is a Cambodian app that allows users to rent out their unwanted items or rent items for a short period of time, allowing owners to profit and renters to save money. ### Our Vision Our vision is to establish a society in which most individuals do not need to acquire needless devices or items, instead renting and reusing existing commodities, hence reducing the quantity of excessive goods creation overall. ### Why we started T-Rental? #### Problems After the industrial revolution, there have been an explosive growth in the amount of goods and services we are able to produce and provide which in turn lead to dramatic economic growth. This exponential economic growth is considered to double every 20 years. This mean that for every 20 years there will be twice as much as iphone, clothes, equipments, cars, motorcycles as it is today which can drained our natural resources dry empty and lead to a unsustainable future. Moreover, items such as technology equipments, dresses, cars and so on can be rather expensive. For instance, a drone or a camera can cost up to hundreds and thousands of dollars and unless we are professional photographers, these gadgets are only being used every now and then. Not to mention dresses, the idea of buying a 150$ dress and wearing it only 2 to 3 times a year on a special occasion doesn't sound like a smart idea. #### Solutions However, what if instead of buying a new car every year or buying a new dress for every wedding or buying a new camera just for this one trip, why don't we just rent all of these things out and use it when we need them and not purchase it for a one time use and left it collecting dust. At a macro level, renting reduces the stress on resources as a single item circulates to fulfill many people's needs over its lifetime. In addition, renting instead of owning is extremely cheaper and also a lot more efficient form of spending money.
